Photographer Categories#123

Better search categories for different type of photography or photographer i.e. Wildlife , Landscape, Street,B&W…..etc..

This would certanly help with discovery.

Photography categories are coming in the next week or two. Photographer catergories is planned and coming in a later release!

We just need a better search feature at this point. Let me rephrase: We need a search feature, period. If I want to look for photos of Iceland for example, I have no choice but to assume and go to landscapes and scroll for days.

Can you add Beauty as a category?

Anonymous I get your point but I also like to easily browse work that is more diverse than what currently shows up on my feed. At the moment most of what I see seems to be white guys living in Japan. It would be good if I could easily see other perspectives.

Desperately needing a “boudoir” category! And can we change Live Music to Live Performance? There are way more live events than just music. Also, please add an editorial category. Its different than fashion IMO.

Our member search now searches bio text (https://glass.photo/highlights/new-member-search-in-beta), so this feature is being put into Not Planned for the time being. Will reasses if needed down the line.

Summer tag does in fact exist. Might’ve been a glitch of some sort if it wasn’t visible for you. (Or perhaps it was missing and was fixed.)

I think allowing for all humans to catagorize themselves is a healthy thing! But its a LOT OF CATAGORIES! I like one “ Indigenous Cultures” its wide, broad and all are welcome. Im learning much about the world from just being here! Thank you all for that! I do have an opinion about ONE THING however… I believe the content should pose POSITIVE things. So often I turn on a TV set to see blood and carnage. Please, NOT HERE! I just want to see happy people, and maybe make someone who is sad, smile! Or Someone who is confused, think. So, Through YOUR EYES, SHOW ME YOUR JOY MY PEOPLE! SHOW ME YOUR BEAUTIFUL SPIRITS! Show by me LIFE!

Please add a spider and reptile category.

As spiders arent insects, this would seperate them in their own category. That way people that love butterflies and ladybugs (insects) wont get a shock when a spider comes up in thier insect feed haha.
(I love spiders and snakes but totally understand that some people dont).

Also the same logic for reptiles (snakes, lizards).

This would cover all areas for wildlife photographers (birds, insects, spiders, wildlife, reptiles, macro).
