In some screens, the swipe gesture takes you back a page which is expected behavior on iOS. On other screens, however, it shows details of a picture. This is very frustrating. The gesture should have consistent behavior. Navigating pages should work in a consistent way. Otherwise, I love the app. Keep up the good work!
Ah, we differentiate between edge swipe (going back a page) vs. just swipping (showing various details of a photo). This is a fairly standard iOS paradigm, but I can see where this could potentially be confusing. Thanks for the feedback!
But edge swipe doesn’t work if a photo is under your thumb.
Steps to reproduce issue:
Got to home feed
Tap on a photo
Tap on a user profile pic
From the user’s profile, scroll down to an image
Try and edge swipe back. It won’t work. Instead it reveals photo info. To go back, you have to hit the back arrow in the bottom left or scroll to top and then edge swipe will work.
In the Apple Mail app which has the UI interaction you are describing, you can swipe on a message to see actions and also edge swipe to go back. If that is how Glass is supposed to work, there might be a bug.
Ah! Yeah, that’s something we should look into. Thanks!
We improved edge swiping with our last update and made it more consistent.
